Puppetry and flute playing come together in this immersive, non-verbal theatrical piece for the very young, where bespoke puppets and objects come to life through the actions of breathing and playing. The surrounding performance environment is primed for the audience’s inquisitive exploration, with carefully chosen materials and objects which make the breath, movement, and rhythms of the music visible and tactile. The work is a collaboration between flautist/composer Kathryn Williams and scenographer/early years artist Sue Auty, and it was devised at Horse + Bamboo Theatre in Rossendale.
This session will include a 30-minute performance and 30 minutes of free play time. To book a place, please contact Sophie Cooper at s.cooper@hud.ac.uk
Please note: children must be accompanied by an adult.
