The Rugby League Exhibition and Interactive Trail is Coming to Huddersfield

Huddersfield BID have helped to bring all the major trophies of Rugby League together for the first time in history to celebrate the birth of the sport.

This celebration, which will of course be in the vicinity of the George Hotel, takes place on 29th August and will bring the Coral Challenge Cup, Betfred Super League Trophy, The Rugby League World Cup, The Women’s World Cup and Wheelchair World Cup under one roof.

This Exhibition has been brought to you in collaboration with Kirklees Council, The RFL, Rugby League Cares and Huddersfield BID alongside Banana Kick.

The exhibition not only celebrates the historic anniversary it marks the beginning of Huddersfield’s journey to the Rugby League World Cup in 2021 and the programme to develop the first National Rugby League Museum. The new museum is set to be established in the George Hotel where 21 Northern teams met on the 29th August 1895 and 20 voted to break away from the Rugby Football Union to form their own league.
