A visit to the Ponderosa Animals and Adventure Centre makes a memorable day out for all the family. The zoo is home to over 120 animals from all over the world. Everything from reindeers and meercats, to wallabies and parrots and a brand new reptile house to discover.

Families can spend a full day exploring the zoo and its spacious grounds. A specially designed adventure playground with a zip wire will keep the kids happy, they can even build a sandcastle at the year-round beach!

Ponderosa hosts exciting events and activities throughout the year including regular animal talks to learn more about the zoo’s residents, feeding displays and animal encounters. Look out for seasonal events too at Easter, Halloween and Christmas and special events during school holidays.

You’ll be well catered for at the lakeside restaurant and café, or grab an ice-cream at the ice cream parlour as a treat!
