The North Light Gallery is an independent arts centre – a creative space for creative people. Located in a converted mill building in Armitage Bridge, the gallery is a registered charity promoting education and creative activities. Opened in 2000, it has evolved from an arts exhibition space to include a range of classes and community meet ups. The gallery can also be hired for private events.
The gallery hosts a fascinating permanent heritage exhibition, elderly social groups and a new physiotherapy and sports injury rehab centre. A programme of inspiring arts classes are available to suit all abilities and all ages. There are also dance and theatre classes and storytelling events for children.
The Ark Church meets at the centre every Sunday morning at 10.30am.
A spacious, friendly café is on site serving a range of healthy meals, with food locally sourced where possible, and fair trade coffee. It’s dog friendly too!
