Introducing the Yorkshire Soapbox Race

Huddersfield BID are extremely excited to announce the Yorkshire Soapbox Race in Huddersfield Town Centre on 19th September 2021. This is a great opportunity for businesses and organisations to get involved and race towards victory. Huddersfield BID are recommending businesses become sponsors of the event, ensuring priority promotion throughout the lead up and on the day.

If your business is closed on Sundays this is a great day to be open. We are currently working on booklets to hand out on the day, showcasing businesses and offers free to all businesses in the town centre, as well as promoting on the LoyalFree App. If you do want to take part in the ‘soapbox offer’ email Sophie on project@huddersfieldbid.co.uk

BID manager, Sam Sharp comments, “This is an exciting event to put Huddersfield on the map as the place to take part in a soapbox race in Yorkshire. It will bring the whole town alive and provide a full day of entertainment, thrills and great offers”.

Marketing and Projects Executive, Sophie Patel comments, “My only advice would be stick to the terms and conditions and get registered here. However, be as wacky and creative with your soapbox and team costumes, most importantly enjoy yourselves. This is the Soapbox event you do not want to miss.”
